PILATES FOR ATHLETES:

At Burn Pilates, we work with all level athletes middle school (size depending) high school, college, and pro. 

 

For athletes, Pilates is most helpful for injury prevention, muscle activation, and creating a powerful core. This involves developing a stable core that can move through its full range of motion while maintaining full function. A strong core enables athletes to generate and transfer force without leaking energy along the way. Leaked energy not only reduces performance but it also increases the risk of injury at the weak points in the chain.

 

Pilates has long been used to enhance performance training, build a strong foundation or maintain the current function level during season.
