PILATES METHOD:

Pilates is a method of training that focuses on teaching and proper human movements and support healthy joint movement and alinement. Pilates does this through focusing on local muscle groups (the most important being the core) and slowly working towards global muscle groups. Pilates uses spring tension, free weights and body weight to accomplish these goals. Starting with training the deep core through breathing techniques and progressing to working all muscles in the body. Because of the mind muscle connection emphasized, Pilates also becomes a great tool for training the brain for mental longevity and teaching deeper muscle contraction for all athletic endeavors (lifting, sport, daily living etc.)
